Ex-WNBA basketball player Toccara Williams teams up with basketball training guru, Alan Stein, to bring the Cutting Edge Basketball Clinic to Hollywood, Florida on October 20, 2013. The clinic is for players 10 and up as well as basketball coaches and will last from 10AM to 2:00PM at the MLK Center.   For those not connected to the basketball world, Stein is considered one of the top basketball specific strength and conditioning coaches in the world, training the likes of Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Amar’e Stoudemire and countless more.  Currently the Head of Strength and Conditioning for the renowned DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program, Stein has fans from elementary to the highest level of basketball.  “He really helped me make the transition from high school to college and from college to the NBA,” states NBA All-Star Kevin Durant from the Oklahoma City Thunder.  “His program is unbelievable.”

Stein’s partner with the Cutting Edge Basketball Clinic is no slough either.  Williams is currently the founder of Sweet Rebound, a non-profit organization with the mission of using sports as a platform for education, but may be better known as the Texas A&M basketball star that has the distinction of being one of only three players to score more than 1000 points, have 500 rebounds, 700 assists and 450 steals in her NCAA career.  She was drafted to the San Antonio Silverstars with the WNBA, but also played around the globe playing in Turkey, Korea, China and Israel.  A native of Hollywood, Williams graduated from South Broward High School where she won two state championship being named Broward County Player of the Year by Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel newspapers.

With these two powerhouses combining, Cutting Edge Basketball Clinic will prove to be a much needed skills training for those serious basketball players and teams looking to get better.    This clinic will bring the training that Stein has brought to players that participated in McDonald’s All-American game, the Jordan Brand All American Classic, and the Nike Skills Academies.  Thanks to Williams and Sweet Rebound, basketball players and coaches alike with finally have the opportunity to train like their favorite NBA stars.
